Underneath lieth Interred the Body
Of HENSHAW HALSEY, Esq
of this Place

He was the Eldest Son and Heir of Thomas Halsey, Esq:

He married Jane the daughter of Sr. Nicolas Waite of Chertsey
in the County of Surry

Whom it pleased God to take to himself
after Eight years Cohabitation

He afterwards married Ann
the daughter of Richard Brodrepp Clerk in the County
of Dorset by whom he had One daughter who died in the second year of her age.

He was a faithful and affectionate Husband truly Religious
and of Strict Justice and Honour
But to the great Grief of his Widow and Relations

He exchanged this life for a better the
13 of Jan. 1738/9 in the 57 year of his age.
