"This photo was not taken in Great Gaddesden, but from the churchyard of the neighbouring village, Nettleden. To the left of the houses you can see a road junction. The road leading up the hill to the left of the house is the road to Great Gaddesden.

Great Gaddesden is less than a mile away, and I have no doubt that Halseys are to be found in the Nettleden registers just as often as in those for GG."
