end wall showing the bricks, said to be Roman,
used in the building of the chancel. Similar
bricks, of a tile shape, are to be seen built
into the walls of Roman remains, such as
Richborough Castle near Sandwich in Kent, in the
Roman "Pharos" or lighthouse at Dover
and at Burgh Castle in Suffolk."
