He had worked as the water plant engineer and they gave him a choice to go to Evansville or overseas to fight. He worked on the design for the oxygen system in the fighters. He was a college professor at Univ. of Evansville for Time Management courses with only a high school education. He worked at Mead-Johnson as the time management manager, & had written a few books on time management. He & Alma went to Germany & traced the Egbert family line back to King Egbert, but the information was lost.

B. Frederick George Egbert (2/1/1854-1/9/1930) b. Hinderburg, Germany, d. Rushville, Schuyler, IL, m. 2/28/1878, Louise Charlotte Klanke (8/4/1859-6/11/1948) b. Hinderburg, Germany, d. Rushville, Schuyler, IL.. Frederick emigrated, 1885, from Germany to New Breman, OH, in 1887 moved to IL, res. 715 E. Lafayette, Rushville, IL in 1927. Frederick was of husky build, brown hair with mustache. He was a carpenter who build his own house, a farmer and in later life a mail carrier in Rushville, IL. THe family still spoke German among themselves during WWI even though it was outlawed. The Egbert farm is south of Rushville, between Beardstown. the Scyler-Rush Park is a part of the old farm. The park caretaker's house is where the old Egbert house was, which was destroyed by fire. Close by was the old school house.
