Sandy Lake, PA, grandson of William & Rebecca (Job) Egbert & son of Lewis & Aseneth (Nixon) Egbert, m. 4/2/1846, Ann Fowler, b. 6/3/1824, Caversall, Eng., dau.of Richard & Margaret (Mears) Fowler, sister of Sarah Fowler, who m. Thomas J. Wright. John ed. common school, his father gave him 100 acres to farm. He & son, William, had 300 acres in 1890’s. He held various twp. offices including justice of the peace. res. A. Harriet Elizabeth Egbert (1/7/1847-1/29/1920) b. Mercer Co., PA, d. Sharon, Mercer Co., PA,  m. 12/17/1874,Richard Graham Morrison (7/25/1844-9/17/1923) son of William & Sarah (Graham) Morrison of Huntington Co. & Armstrong Co., PA, res. Sharon, Mercer Co., PA. Richard was secretary & manager of Sharon Boiler Works. ca. 1842 his parents settled in Pymatuning twp., Mercer Co., PA then Brooksfield, OH. When Sarah, his mother, d. in 1856 his father moved back to Pymatuning til he d. in 1864. (ch. of William; Richard, John L., R. Woodward of Pittsburgh, PA, & Mary C. who m. C.A. Ashton of Sharon. John L. was owner/editor of the Sharon ‘Herald’ newspaper who gave Sarah Morrison her start as journalist & author. John L. served in 55th PA Militia, Co. 1. Sarah Graham Morrison (3/6/1877-10/29/1965)b. & d. Sharon, Mercer Co., PA,  unmar., sec., journalist, author & world traveler. res. 96 S. Main St., Sharon, PA with sister. She worked on family history & wrote “From Lotos to Cherry Blossoms.” (See Story Section)
2. Egbert Richard Morrison (twin) (8/20/1881-10/30/1957) grad. Case School of Applied Science as mechanical engineer, 1904. from 1904-4/1907 employed as chief draftsman & estimating engineer at Union Spring & Manuf. Co., of New Kensington, PA, then asst. gen. manager of Sharon Boiler Works. Jr. member of Amer. Soc. of Mech. Eng. & pub. book ‘Morrison’s Spring Tables,” highly valued by manufacturers. m. Josephine Berghoff of Cleveland, OH. she was ed. Laurel Institute of Cleveland & Chicago Kindergarten Inst., & was head of kindergarten dept. of Goodrich Home, Cleveland, OH.
3. Gertrude Morrison (twin) (8/20/1881-11/14/1965) b. & d. Sharon, Mercer Co., PA, grad. of Wellsley College, Mass., teacher in Sharon schools, unmar., also journalist & world traveler.
