Going back over past documents I've noticed that I had originally transcribed Reginald Thomas Dykes under only that name. While he was known to his family by this name, and it is used on both his marriage and death certificates, his birth certificate notes his name as Thomas Reginald Dykes.
Details on the Unknown Father of Winifred Frances Ridley have been updated.
Using the GRO Index I've discovered that Samuel Dykes and Mary Bisby married in the March quarter of 1863 in Sheffield, Yorkshire. An important link to confirming whom both their parents were. I've sent off for the certificate and hope to have it within a few weeks. Thanks to Tania for her help with searching the index.
I've started to rework some of the older material I've collated, noting a few previous mistakes which I've corrected. I've also started putting these in as 'sources' for others to use if relevant.
The 1891 British Census reveals two more children for Joseph Dykes (1830-1900); John (b: 1888) and Eliza (b: 1885) and they are now included in the tree.
Details for Joseph Dykes (1830-1900) have been sourced from 1881 British Census. This includes details for six children; Charles, Ann, Emma, Elizabeth, Margaret and Arthur E.
