Shown are Stella Dutton Penix and Joe Garland Penix Sr. on her lap and John C. (Port) Penix with John Melvin Penix on his lap.
It might also be noted that Stella and John ran a grocery store for many years in Paintville Kentucky for many years. The picture was taken sometime in 1922 to 1923 range. Stella was born on Febrary 2, 1904 and died on March 29, 1998. Joe was born on January 5, 1922 and is still living. John C was born in August 1898 and died in 1945. John M. was born in 1919 and is still living.
