Ernie died Friday 7th March 1947 in Stretford, Manchester, at 47 years of age. His body was interred 1947 in Stretford, Manchester, Stretford Municipal Cemetary.

He married Lily HINCHLIFFE in Prestwich, Manchester, Thursday 12th June 1939. (Lily HINCHLIFFE is #8.) Lily was born in Salford, Lancashire Friday 6th November 1903. Lily was the daughter of William Henry HINCHLIFFE and Harriet SOUTH. Lily died Thursday 7th February 1980 in Dukinfield, Cheshire, at 76 years of age. Her body was interred Monday 11th February 1980 in Stretford, Manchester, Municiple. Lily was listed as a member of a church in Salford, Lancashire, 1912. Lily was a P.S.A. member in Salford, Lancashire, 1927/28.

She resided in Urmston, Manchester 1939, 27 Lincoln Avenue. At 36 years of age Lily became the mother of Barbara CREACALL in Jericho, Bury, Lancashire, Friday 28th June 1940. At 38 years of age Lily became the mother of Brenda Mercia CREACALL in Stretford, Manchester, Tuesday 3rd March 1942. At 39 years of age Lily became the mother of Norma Joan CREACALL in Stretford, Manchester, Saturday 27th February 1943.⁽⁵³⁾ At 40 years of age Lily became the mother of Anthony Richard CREACALL Bowden, Cheshire, England, Wenesday 20th September 1944.⁽⁵⁴⁾ She moved 1947 in Urmston, Manchester.

Ernest died suddenly of a heart attack on 7th March, 1947. Lily then went back to live with her parents at 6, Willingdon Drive, Prestwich, Manchester, England 1947, 6 Willingdon Drive.

Heaton Park Cinema program dated May 1951. This could be a souvenir of Mum's first month working as an usherette.

Lily reported 1973 in England. Lily, as the mother of the groom, attended Elaine Ann ATKINSON and Anthony Richard CREACALL's wedding in Dukinfield, Cheshire, Tuesday 18th June 1974.⁽⁵⁵⁾

Unbeknown to us all, Mum was suffering from cancer at that time. The desease was not diagnosed untill late that year.

At 43 years of age Ernie became the father of Norma Joan CREACALL in Stretford, Manchester, Saturday 27th February 1943.⁽⁵⁶⁾ He was the informant for Brenda Mercia CREACALL's death in Stretford, Manchester, Wednesday 8th September 1943. At 44 years of age Ernie became the father of Anthony Richard CREACALL Bowden, Cheshire, England, Wenesday 20th September 1944.⁽⁵⁷⁾

At sometime, probably in the late 1920's, Ernest and his brother Albert organised dances at which the music was provided by a record player, or gramophone as it was called in those days. This information was provided by Vincent, Albert's son.

Albert told dad that he was to emigrate to Australia and dad was very upset. Albert thought this may have contributed to his death. This was told to me by Vince.
