These are the terrific ten. They are six male and four female, Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix puppies. They were born November 14 of immaculate conception to a one-year-old Great Pyrenees mix named Lucky. Their conception is considered immaculate because the father, Chief, a giant, pure-bred German Shepherd, was neutered five years ago when he was a year old. The veterinarian (who shall remain nameless) must have incompletely performed the procedure leaving Chief with some life left in him.
Chief's owner, a firefighter/paramedic, discovered the puppies that November morning with utter disbelief. He had no idea that Lucky was even pregnant (as she is a big, shaggy-haired dog), therefore it took a minute to put two and two together (or should we say, five and five). It's a good thing he is an active paramedic because one of the little guys was not breathing and needed emergency rescue care and CPR.
They have all had their first puppy shots and are eating solid dog food. They are perfectly healthy, adorable pups who are in need of loving homes. If you are interested in adopting one of the terrific ten, please visit Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue.
