This is also my name, but my mum spelt it on my birth documents as geni. I woman I met who had lived in china for many years said it has a 'a' after the 'n' like yours. The chinese write the english versionas 'gen Ai' Or in your case 'jen Ai'. The meaning I have been told was 'One who loves her people' butI am not certain about that. I am trying to find the chinese version, but so far have only come up with Ah-whi-dah, but not sure if this is correct. Check out the book Inn of the sixth happiness, our name is said in this movie. Also the original book about the real life missionary Gladys Aylwood. If you find out anything else I would like to know. thanks genai (gen Ai)
