I am not sure where you are located, but you may need to work backwards from informational sources in Jamaica which may lead you to your grandfather's ancestral village in China. Start by reviewing a couple of decent websites on the Chinese in Jamaica: http://www.chinesejamaican.com/index_files/Page1468.htm - this website lists the Chung surname as a common Chinese surname in Jamaica and it has the names of Chinese organizations in Jamaica which are good sources for possible genealogical information, AND http://www.jamaica-gleaner.com/pages/history/story0055.htm - this website mentioned a Sheila Chung as a former Miss Jamaica. All you need is one small break in your search which could lead you in the right direction towards your grandfather's place in China. Perhaps there is a Chung family association in Jamaica which could prove to be the big break you need. It will take some time and effort on your part to ferret out these sources for the big break your are looking for.
