Oscar,

From what know most of the people who went to Peru came from Guangdong Province and as such are nominally called "Cantonese". My guess is your Po (paw) may be the Cantonese pronounciation for Pow as in "POWder". There are two surnames that match this, in the Hundred Surnames it is 62 (abalone) and 185 (wrap).

When you do get a photo of the tombstone and it has Chinese script on it, PM me and I will see what I can do for you.
