I am researching my wife's family of whom we know very little. We would like to locate the family zupu. It is the Fung family. That is Feng 2, (horse running), Foong, Fung, Pang. My wife's name at birth was Fung Shui Kau. She was born in a village or farm at Zaobei (Mandarin) Chopui (Cantonese) around the year 1953. This village, not far from Macao, was once part of Zhongshen also called Chung Shan which later became part of Zhuhai. We know that my wife's father died soon after her birth. There were four boys and two girls. In order to save her from starvation the mother through a cousin in Hong Kong sent her there. (Kind of like Joy Luck Club!) It was heard that the family later moved to Hong Kong and set up a bakery in Shamshuipo. We hope that we can know if there might be a Fung Family ancestral Hall in that region and then we could know if there are zupus available for this branch. I have a website that I am developing for research of Chinese Genealogy http://www.childtalk.com/History/chinafamilyresearch.html. In here there is a great new site which has a lot of activity called Chinese Genealogy. I recommend it highly. I check it every day.
