Read your notes dated 2001. There was a Chung Cheung that came to Samoa on the 28 dec 1911. He was permitted to pay his own overhead. Will look some more.

: I am look for information about the Chiese that were in Samoa from 1912 t0 1945. My grandfather was a plantation worker in Samoa and married my gandmother and they have one daughter whcih is my mother. She was born in July 1930. She said she was about nine or ten when they took her dad bacak to china. She does not know where in China. Somewhere in Hong Kong or Mainland China. She think Her dad's last name is Chang Chew or Cheng Chew. They call him in Samoa Ah-Chew or Ah Kew. Please help with any information, I would appreciate it. Need to know a village where the chinese that were in Samoa came from and what ship they traveled on, and so forth.
