Dear Eveni,
It would be very helpful if you say what your grandmothers name,what plantation he was working for, where they lived before he was send home to China. The reason is there are a lot of similar names of chinese that came to Samoa. We do have a Cheung, Sheung, Chaung etc. The wife's name will pinpoint which one you are looking for. It does take a long time to research, but other supporting infos can help very much.
