Perhaps you have already found your village in Hoiping by now, but just in case......Hoiping has a ton of villages whose predominant surname is Tse/Der - - both are of the same Chinese surname character. Check it out by browsing the list of surnames and clicking on "Tse/Der" at the following link: http://www.c-c-c.org/villagedb/search.cgi Here you should be able to find the name of your village. Some old letters your parents may have received from the village should have the name of the village written in Chinese characters. If there is a need to locate your village on a map, I have a map of Hoiping which is all written in Chinese. Email me at ray@seid.org if need be.
