my late maternal grandfather was from meixian, and his surname is Wong (in mandarin Wang) it means King. And, my maternal grandmother ancestor was from Fujian. Her surname is Oey (in Hokkien) or Wong (in Cantonese) or Huang (in Mandarin), it means yellow. Also my paternal grandmather surname is Wong (Huang) but she came from Toishan Guangdong, so the language or dialect is different.
