My great great grandfather was an official during the Qing dynasty. His name is: Wen Chong Yao (Mandarin), Wan Chong Yiu (Cantonese). He was born in Tai Shan in Guangdong (Mandarin) or Toi San (Cantanoese). He attended school in Queens's college in Hong Kong. He moved around China a lot and finally settled in Shanghai where he raised his family. His first wife was my great great grandmother. Their second child was my great grandfather. Does anyone know him or have any information about him? I'm trying to do some genealogy. Also, my grandfather told me that Wen Chong Yao's grandfather is of Jewish decent. How can I find information on Chinese Jews and their names? Thank you so much for helping me out!
