I was told by my classmate in high school, Joselito Tecson--I don't know where he is now--that the first Tecson in San Miguel, Bulacan was Chinese, and that his name was actually Son Tec. The Tecson's from San Miguel descended from him and are therefore relatives in some ways. Further, the original Tecson from San Miguel had a brother who lived in the Visayas, which may explain why there are Tecsons in the South even a long time ago.
