Thats wierd, my last name is Hum
: I would like to know if anyone with the surname Hum living in Montreal, Canada can help me out.
: I know a girl who is half first nation who came from Sudbury Ontario born about 1951. Interesting history of the Chinese Canadian Nation here in Canada. I was visiting Halifax Nova Scotia recently and I went to the big cemetary where most of the titanic bodies are buried. In the back corner of this cemetary which is the most lousy part of the cemetary, is where all the Chinese are buried. You will find all kinds of gravestones marked by the fam name HUM. Must be all kinds of HUM family from Halifax. There has to be family links between the Hum of Halifax and the Hum of Montreal because both of these Chinese Canadian Communities was very small. Also the history of our Chinese Canadian Nation was based on family sur-names. All the men with family name of HUM would have belong to the same family association. My wife is Quan and her hui is now strong here in Canada and was very strong dating back to 1909 here in Toronto. Suggest that you check around for history of the HUM family association.
: The end signed Alfie Yip
