I believe when Justiniano Jao became a naturalized Filipino citizen, -joco was appeneded to the Jao lastname. Also, I had been told that there was originally a hypthen that was dropped, and that it might've been originally spelled Jao-jocco.

: Researching JAOJOCO surname. Does anyone have any knowledge of where JAOJOCO name originated? Thank-you for any help. Jeff
