Well, "Tee" by itself is quite unique as it normally applies to those of the EngChoon Hokkien. The other Hokkien normally are either Tay or Tey or Teh. But there are exceptions. In Malaysia, the "Tee" are concentrated in Klang and also Muar. There are those like me who are from KL and has settled in Singapore.
Interestingly I have met "Tee" in Philippines,
the TeeHanKee family. The name is the forefather who has been localised. One of them was the former Chief Justice of the Philippines.
Well, let me know if you want to find out more about the Tees. In Singapore, those with "Tee" normally has a Malaysian root. However, don't get mixed up as there are "Tee" who are not the same -
they have the Chinese character known as "pond" in Chinese (pronounced in Hokkien)
