not many people i know speak teo chow, but my father claims that here in houston many people speak it, i guesso. but all i know about my roots, is that my great grandparents lived in china and didnt like how it was ruled, then move to vietnam. originally our last name was CHAN, but since they moved ot vietnam they had to change there last name into something vietnamese, so the closest translation was TRAN. yeah..and in vietnam there was this small little community where people just spoke teochow. i doubt that this will help you but..*shrugs* maybe it will?
oh and my name is THANG MOI LAY. im not sure how to spell it but thats how it sounds. it means pretty beautiful, and then my name. so yeah..
