Answer: If pronounced: "Poor-poor" = generic word for "Grandma" on your mother's side; "Tay Poor"
= generic for Greatgrandma on the maternal side. Used in Cantonese speaking families from the Guangdong Province (southern part of China).
To verify ask your relatives. For others to id, you'd need to have the characters written out as similar sounding words and names have different connotations and meanings. JWC Low
