Do you have the character? It's really hard to tell from the attempts to put it into English. There isn't really any standardization.
My guess is that it's "lok" first character for camel. This is the Cantonese pronounciation. The Gov. of Washington (I think he's still gov.) is a "lok". His name is Gary Locke. Most people pronounce it "lock" in English.
