Hi,I too am a Teochew from Malaysia.Your surname is usually spelt Yeo or Yeoh in my part of the world if my guess is correct concerning the Chinese character. In cantonese and Hakka it is Yong. The Chinese character might be the one with a "wood" (mu in pinyin)radical.Try consulting a web site with a list of Chinese surnames. You did not indicate your country of origin;is it Vietnamese?
: I am teo-chow (chao chow) which is closely related to fukien, amoy, and hokkien. I want to research my roots. If you have any info please email me and we can talk. My last name is Ear which is unusual for a chinese last name. In teo-chow it is Ear but I thing in Mandarin it is said to be Yang. I don't know much but I am eager to learn alot from hear say.
: Thank You.
