: Looking for anyone who has information regarding
the Hai Phong Road prison camp during the Japanese Occupation. It was also known as "Bridge House" anyone who had a relative who might have know my father John (Wally( Watson. He lived in Shanghai from 1919 to 1944, and was with the shanghai Municipal Police. Looking for anyone who might have had contact during the prison years. thankyou

My dad was tortured at Bridge House by the Kempetei around 1942. He had been a printing factory manager for BAT. I was in Shanghai until Nov. of 1940. My folks are deceased, but chances re my dad would have known your father. I did meet a gentleman several years ago who was with ICI (Paints) and I bought a book written by a director of ICI in Shanghai that had been at Bridge House.

Sorry I could not furnish any more.

Wishing you a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous Year 2002.

I am an American living in Taipei.
