basically, i think everyone from the village of Koon Tong, Chong Shan has the last name Zhuo. i'm also from there....and Zhuo is a mandarin spelling, so they don't sound similar if you're speaking cantonese....
: How did you associate Chock with Zhou in the first place, and then with Cho (Zhuo in Hanyu Pinyin)? Do you know the character for your surname Chock, and what dialect is it? Have not found any of those names on my map yet. If I find them I will post it here.
: : I am In Search Of (ISO) my family's name: CHOCK.
: : The Book of Hundred Surnames has it listed as 277: ZHOU.
: : "In Search of Your Asian Roots" by Sheau-yeuh J. Chao has it my family's last name shown as CHO on page 42, #91.
: : I am told that my paternal ancestoral village in China is Sa Chung, Leong Doo, Chung San. My mother's ancestoral village is Koon Tong, Chong Shan.
: : Any information would be appreciated.
: : Thanks.
