Photos of your parents, family, home, etc. would be appreciated as they will confirm and know the family connections, and of course marvel at the homes you live in. Sometimes little momentos, like foreign candy, pens/crayons for the kiddies, and such would be appreciated. BTW give red packets judiciously otherwise it would set a precedent. Also Hong Kong currency will be accepted (but not RMB) if you don't want to use "real foreign currency". Feel free to e-mail me.
: : The best suggestion is to give them money and put it in the small red packet (like at Chinese New Year). They would prefer to see foreign currency rather than RMB. An equivalent of 100RMB is plenty.
: I'm saving your suggestion for my far-off trip to Toishan.
: Thank you!
: Are there any other generally accepted customs to observe that
: a clueless jook sing like me might be unaware of?
