.....the information has been very helpful, I had no idea where to start.Though the Chineseroots site probably opens even more questions, as it names "Liem" as a variation of"Lian", but would that be pronounced as -i-e- , instead of "i"? Both could be plausible. Either Liem is the Dutch version of Lim, or it was Liem, pronounced -i-e- to start with, but the Dutch started to pronounce is as "i". I'm starting believe this won't be easy... :)
