: I know that there are a lot of Kungs(Kongs) or Confucious descendants out there, and I want to know more. I'm curious because the only Kungs I know are in my close family. I've been told that we number in the thousands. Is that true?

I found, by accident looking up other bits and pieces, that Ai-Ling Soong (one of the famous Soong Sisters - one married Chiang-Kai-Shek and the other married Sun Yat-Sen) married HH Kung who was the Finance Minister under Chiang Kai Shek in China pre Communism.

They moved to the States and they had one son who married the film star of the 50's and 60's Debra Paget. They have a son:

Here is info I've taken from a web-site on her:

19 June 62/64
marries the nephew of Madame Chiang Kai-Shek, oilman Louis C. Kung,
Jr., and lives with him on an estate near Houston, Texas
7 November 62
her father has an entry in the Variety Obituaries
22 June 64
her son from Kung is born
divorces Kung
has not remarried, her address is 737 Kulman Road, Houston, TX 77024

Hope this is of some assistance to you.
