If your GGM was born in BC, Canada, where were her parents buried? Read up on what factors brought them to Canada. Check with area older Chinese association for possible cemetery records or area historical/genealogical societies for any burial records. Have you interviewed older members of the family about her? Have you access to your ggmother's gravestone.
Since: Looking for GGrandmother's background. According to Canada British Columbia Census 1901 her last name was "HOO" first and middle name - Siu Lan. Borned 1874 in BC Canada. GGrandfather's name "PON" Gui Ling - arrived Canada 1866 from Canton Province. Grandfather and the siblings were borned in Canada. Grandfather's name "PON" Wing Fook. Address at that time 35 Fisguard Street Victoria.
