Hi there...Iam also eager to trace my Chinese bloodline.

My grandfather's name is BOMPO YAP. He was also from Amoy, China. He was born on March 30, 1902.

He went to the Philippines on 1916,he was fifteen years old, he was looking for his father back then. He stayed with his father along with his new Filipino family in Tiwi Albay.

My Grandfather was baptized and changed as Filipino citizen as Joaquin Vera.(Our Surname was borrowed from the priest who officiated the baptismal of my Granpa). He was married to Armentina Jao.They had 11 children, most of them still resides at Tiwi, Albay.

Hope someone could help us in tracing our Chinese roots.
