Hi! I am Luis (Bobot)Zamora Tecson, the youngest son of Dr. Pedro Santiago Tecson of San Miguel, Bulacan. My grandfather is Col. Simon Ocampo Tecson, his father was Tiburcio Tecson and Paula Ocampo and his brothers were Pablo, Mariano and only sister was Julia Tecson. The father of Tiburcio was Tomas and his father was Jose Tecson a pure chinese from Amoy, china, migrated to Candaba, Pampanga in the late 1700 century. Col. Simon Tecson was involved in 5 historical battles in Bulacan, signatory to 2 constitution creating 2 republics, likewise signatory to the ratification of Independence, August 1, 1898 in Bacoor, Cavite. Simon Tecson was the Pilipino Comanding officer who accepted the surrender of the Spaniards in Baler, Aurora, where the movie "BALER" was based. He fought the Americans, forced to surrender in 1901 and refusing to take the oath of allegiance to the Americans, he was deported to Guam in 1902 together with Mabini, Ricarte and Melchora Aquino. He returned, died in 1903, buried in San Miguel, Bulacan. Last June 28, 2009 an HISTORICAL MARKER was installed by the NHI in his house in San Miguel, Bulacan. The Sangguniang Bayan passed a resolution recognizing him an outstandng son of San Miguel, Bulacan. I am presently writing a book about our grandfather Simon Tecson.
