Im one of those who keep on searching the root of my being. Same with Gabriel, its hard for me to look or find the place of my grandfather. Im a grand daughter of Uy Seng.He is also from Amoy, China.According to my father who is dead already, He's father travelled from Amoy, China going here in Philippines ride in a big ship together with his brother name in filipino version called "Felipe" Uy.They settled in Cotabato City, married and put up many businesses. But his brother Felipe still single at hat time and concentrate to develop his business.Until big trials came into their lives.Their business bancrupt, his brother Felipe discouraged and went home to China, and my grand father left here since he has a family already. My father, wish to see his uncle, but he does'nt know what to do.Therefore, I feel the eagerness as what my father felt since I was young till now that Im 28 years old.
Now, it happened that I hired and work here in one of Chinese company here in Philippines.I cannot explained my feelings everytime i get near to them.I cannot speak chinese since I did'nt send to chinese school, but its not reason as hindrance to look my ancestor and relate myself.I try my best to talk to my chinese employer Mr. Li since he can speak english. He is just telling that Amoy, is big province....Then, that's it. Still Im in the midst of hunger who's my family tree in China....How I wish my prayers could be answer. How I wish my grandfather relative in China, still.
Anyway, thanks to Gabriel for the great encouragement to express like me who"s thirst and searching my family tree in Amoy, China
