I have a map of Shunde in Guangdong Province, but much of it is written in Chinese, and I cannot read Chinese. I see Lecong Town on the map, and it is located on the Northwest corner of Shunde. The map has a more detailed inset of Lecong Town, but unfortunately many of the major villages and marketplaces are written in Chinese. You will need to provide the Chinese characters for "Da Ken" village with hopes of locating the village on the map. Once the village is pinpointed, then you may need to make a trip to the village armed with old photos of your grandfather and his full name written in Chinese. With any luck you may run into relatives still in the village, and perhaps your family clan genealogy book called a "jook po" may also exist in the village. If so, much of your family genealogy should be in the "jook po", but it will be written in Chinese and needs to be translated for you.
Hope this helps. Good luck on your genealogical search.
