The above pictures were taken in the summer of 2001 at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome where E J was racing under the lights every Tuesday night.

E J continued to race the following spring in the Bicycle Racing League for 10 - 13 year olds, but a crash in practice followed by a broken hand, suffered while skate boarding, put him out for the remainder of the season. E J and Leah's team beat all competition and E J shared in the Team trophy presentation, although on the injured reserve.
