Hilma W. Johnson, age 78, a resident of Grey Eagle, died December 15, 1992 at the Melrose Hospital.
Funeral services were held December 17 at the United Methodist Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Roger Lynn officiating. Burial was in the Lakeview Cemetery.
Hilma Johnson was born on November 23, 1914 in Albany, MN. to Ernest and Wilhelmina (Reinke) Shulz. She was united in marrieage to Arthur E. Johnson on November 3, 1933 in Grey Eagle. The couple farmed near Pillsbury and then in 1939 the moved to a farm near Grey Eagle. In March, 1992 Hilma moved to the Village View Apartments in Grey Eagle, where she was a member of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Grey Eagle Senior Citizens. Hilma lived to watch sports, especially when her family was involved in the compitition and especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her nine children, Mrs. Gerald (Loretta) Nelson of Siren, WI., James Johnson of Grey Eagle, Mrs. Arnold (Ardenne) Reimers of Grey Eagle, Mrs. Margaret Atkinson of Freeport, Herbert Johnson of Grey Eagle, Donald Johnson of Randall, Ben Johnson of Long Prarie, Mrs. Ken (Carol) Meier of Sauke Centre and Anthony Johnson of Grey Eagle; 30 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Selma Heurung of Woodbury. She was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband, Arthur on Feb. 26, 1978; an infant daughter; grandson, Wayne Johnson; brothers and sisters Ben Schulz, Otto Richter, Lydia Pantell and Agnes Bruan.
Casketbearers were grandsons, Timothy Nelson, Arthur, Eric, Brian and Brent Johnson, Pete Reimers, Richard Atkinson and Kevin Meier. Honary bearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hilma married Arthur Edwin JOHNSON, son of Nels Peter JOHNSON and Sohia Alama JOHNSON, Nov 03, 1933 in Grey Eagle, Birchdale Twp, Todd Co, MN. (Arthur Edwin JOHNSON was born May 07, 1906 in , Stearns Co., Minnesota and died Feb 26, 1978 in , Stearns Co., Minnesota ¹.)
