The Deakins Family Papers consists of two collections: A&M
624 which consists of one file box containing three file folders
covering the period 1784-1924 and A&M 197 which consists of five
file boxes containing a total of 17 file folders covering the
period 1778-1925. There are hundreds and hundreds of documents
crammed into these file folders.

Courses of Peter Carraco 190 a: July 14, 1784 Surveyed for F & W
Deakins 190 a land on the East side Cheat River including the mouth of
Wolf Creek...signed Wm Pettyjohn for Saml Hanway
[The survey was made in 1784 rather than 1786 and the survey was done
for F & W Deakins, not Peter Carrico.]

8th 1804 mentions lands sold or to be sold by you for me, or from Peter
or John Carrico or Jacob Waggoner.

Carrico & Isaac Parsons oldest son carried chain. The sale to [Wm]

I checked the 1800-1810 folder twice but could not find the Jun 22,
1804 reference to John and Peter Carrico nor the Nov 18, 1809 reference
to Julius Hood.
