| At the
request of Henry Montgomery the following Deed was recorded the 2nd day of November Anno Domini 1802~ This Indenture made this nineteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and two. Between Vincent Carrico of New Spain in the Upper Lusianna of the one part, and Henry Montgomery of Charles County in the State of Maryland of the other part. Witnefseth that the said Vincent Carrico for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and two pounds Current Money of the State of Maryland to him in hand paid the receipt whereof I the said Vincent Carrico do hereby acknowledge and confefs, and the said Henry Montgomery his heirs Executors and admini strators by these presents thereof and therefrom forever acquitted released and discharged have granted bargained and sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain and sell eline enfeoff and confirm unto the said Henry Montgomery his heirs and afsigns forever, One hundred and thirty six acres of land lying and being in Charles County aforesaid, being, part of a tract of land called Saint James, and part of land called Hagans Chance lying and being in the County aforesaid, Begining at Sixty Eight perches in the first line of the whole tract called Saint James and running thence North Forty one degrees Forty Eight minutes East one hundred and sixty two perches then north Fifty five |

sixty four perches, then North fifty nine degrees twenty seven minutes west twenty eight perches, then South fifty two degrees forty eight minutes west Eighty perches, then South thirty five degrees east Eighty perches, then to the begining, containing one hundred acres of land. Hagans Chance Begining at the end of the ninth line of the whole tract called Hagans Chance thence runing South fifty degrees forty two minutes west Eighty perches, then South twenty Eight degrees three minutes East fifty perches, then South Fifty degrees forty two minutes west Forty three perches, then South Fifty nine degrees twenty seven minutes East two perches, then north Fifty nine degrees Forty eight minutes East Sixty four perches, then South Fifty five degrees forty two minutes East Sixty four preches, then North one degree west sixty one perches, then with a Straight line to the begining con taining Thirty six Acres of land (which said land being laid out for James Carrico widows dower by comifsioners appointed by the Corte for one hundred and thirty six Acres of land) together with all the rights priviledges profits and appurtinances thereunto belonging to the said Vincent Carrico or in any wise appurtaining To Have and to Hold the said tracts parcels of land premises hereby intended to be bargained for and sold as aforesaid unto him the said Henry Montgomery his heirs Executors administrators and afsigns. And the said Vincent Carrico for himself his heirs Executors administrators do covenant and agree to and with the said Henry Montgomery his heirs Executors administrators and afsigns that the aforesaid parcels of land premises and appurtinances and every part and parcel thereof, are free and clear and freely and clearly acquitted and discharged to and from the said Vincent Carrico himself his heirs Executors and administrators do hereby further convey and grant to and with the aforesaid Henry Montgomery his heirs and afsigns, that he the said Vincent Carrico his heirs and Excutors administrators and afsigns the aforesaid land and premises by these presents bargained and sold and all his right title and interest. In Witnefs whereof the said Vincent Carrico hath set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written ~

| Be it
Remembered that on the 19th day of October 1802 Came Vincent Carrico party to the within instrument of writing before the subscribers two Justices of the peace for Charles County, and acknowledged the same to be his Act and deed, and the land with its appurtinances therein bargained and sold, to be the right title property and Fee Simple Estate of Henry Montgomery therein also named, his heirs and afsigns forever, according to the true intent and meaning of said instrument of writing and the Act of afsembly in such cases made and provided ~
