At the Request of Peter Wood of said County the following Deed was Recorded this 4th: day of December Anno Domini 1738 ~~~ This Indenture made the twenty first day of Novmeber in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and thirty Eight Between Abel Carico of Charles County in the Province of Maryland planter of the one part and Peer Wood of the Same County and Province Planter of the other part Witnefseth that the said Abel Carico for and in Consideration of the sum of fourteen Hundred Pounds of Tobacco and thirty shillings Current Money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Peter Wood before the |

| Enceating and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledged and thereof and every part threeof doth hereby acquitt and discharge the said Peter Wood his heirs Exu and admrs by these presents as for divers other good Causes and Considera tions him hereunto More Especially moving hath given grand sold aliened Enfeoffed Conveyed Conirmed and Released and by these presents doth fully Clearly and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff Convey Confirm and release unto him the said Peter Wood his heirs and afsigns forever all that part of a tract or parcel of Land called St. Georges Situate Lying and being in Charles County afsd and Beginning at a bounded white oake Standing in one of the lines of a parcel of Land in the Pofefsion of John Biggs and running thence with the said land South thirteen and a halfe Perches to a parcel of Land now in Pofefsion of the said Peter Wood, thence with the sd Land west by South two hundred and forty Perches thence North Nineteen Perches thence to the Beginning Containing and laid out for twenty three acres together with all and Singu lar the water Easments Rights members Jurisdictions Priviledges Profits Comodities benefits and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining To have and To hold the said tract or parcel of Land and all and Singular the said bargained and granted Premifses or hereby meant or intended to be bargained and sold as afsd unto him the said Peter Wood his heirs and afsigns forever and the said Abel Carico doth hereby grant for himself and his heirs that he the said Abel Carico his heirs all and Every the said Tract or parcel of Land according to the meets and bouds and bounds afsd unto him the said Peter Wood his heirs against him the said Abel Carico and his heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever Claiming by from or under him or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Witnefs whereof the said Abel Carico hath hereunto Set his hand seale the day and year above written ~~

| Mem that on this day to wit the
twenty first day of November came the within Mentioned Abel Carico party to the within deed and acknowledged the same to be his act and Deed and the Land and Premifses therein mentioned to be the right title and Inheritance of the within mentioned Peter Wood his heirs and afsignes forever according to the purpose of the within Deed and likewise Came Elizabeth wife of the said Abel Carrcio and acknowledged her right of Dower to the within Lands to the said Peter Wood his heirs and afsigns forever she being first Privately Examined as the Law directs
of the within Land for the use of the Lord Baltimore by order of Benjamin Tasker Esq.
