At the Request of Abel Carrico of Charles County the following Deed was Recorded this 6th day
of December Anno Dom:1736 ~
Maryl :fs- This Indenture made the Eleventh day of November in the year of our Lord
one thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Six by and between Marmaduke Simms of Chas.
County in the province of Maryland Planter of the one part and Abel Carrico of the same Coty
and Province Planter of the other part Witnefseth that the said Marma Simms for & in
Consideration of the Sum of five Hundered pounds of Tobacco and twenty Shillings Sterling
money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said Abel Carrico before the insiating and
delivery of these prefents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and of every part and
parcel thereof  Exonerate, acquit & discharge the said Abel Carrico his heirs, Exrs & admrs by these
pfents as for divers other good causes and considerations him thereunto more especially
moving Hath given, granted, aliened, Sold, Transferred and made over unto the said Abel
Carrico his heirs ans afsigns forever all that part of a Tract or parcel of Land called St.
Georges situate lying an being in Charles County afsd: and Beginning upon the Utmost
Extent or end of the North line of John Biggs Land runing thence West by South two Hundred
& forty Perches, then north Eighty eight Perches, then East two Hundred thirty eight perches
and then to the begining Tree containing and laid out for ninety three acres and seventy
Eight pershers more of lefs Togethere with all dwelling Houses, Mefsages, Buildings, Barnes,
stables, Gardens, orchards, Profitts, advantages & appurtenances whatsoever to the said Tract
or Parcel of Land and premises belonging or in anywise appertaining To have and To
hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land & premises with the appurtenances unto the said Abel
Carrico his heirs and afsigns forever wthout the Lett, Trouble, Suit, Denyal, eviction, Ejection,
Molestation or Interruption of him the said Marmaduke Simms his heirs, Exrs or admrs
or any ot them or of or by any other pfson or pfsons claiming by for or under him them or any
of them, and that he the said Marma Simms and his Heirs the aforementioned Tract of
Land and and Promises with the appurtencences unto him the said Abel Carrico and

Elizabeth his wife their heirs & afsignes forever against him the said Marma Simms and his
Heirs or any Person or Persons whatsover claiming by for or under him or any of them
shall & will warrant & forever defend In Witnefs whereof the said Marma Simms hath hereunto
set his Hand & Seal the day and year above mentioned___

                     On the back of which deed were the following Endorsmts viz:}
November the 11th 1736 Marmaduke Simms acknowledges all & Singular his right, title,
Interest claim and demand of the within mentioned Land and Premises wth the appurtan
=ces to be in Able Carrico and Elizabeth his wife tot he use of them and their Heirs forever
according to the purport of the within deed and in like manner came Mary Simms wife of
the said Marmaduke simms who being Secratly Examined acknowed her right of Dower
according to Law_
