At the request of George Kieth of Charles County the following Deed was recorded this Eleventh  Day of June
Anno 1730~~~
This Indenture made the Eighth day of June in the year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven
hundred and Thirty Between Peter Carrico of Charles County in the province of Maryland planter of the one part and
Abel Carrico of the County aforesaid planter of the other part Witnefseth that the said Peter Carrico for this Confiderations
of the rents and Covenants herein after Ecprefsed on the one part on behalf of the said Abel Carrico to be paid and
Performed hath demised Set granted and to farm Lett unto the said Abel Carrico a part of a tract of Same Called Maidftone
as he hath in pofsefsion and hath had Improvements upon the said parcel Containing forty acres more or Lefs
with all singular the rights members jurisdictions profits and advantages the Same now belonging or in any wife (wise)
appertaining To have and to hold the said Land and premises unto him the Said Abel Carrico from the first
Day of November next for and during the rent and Lease of one and twenty years have fully to be Compleated and Ended
& the said Abel Carrico doth hereby Covenant promise and agree to and with the said Peter Carrico his heirs and afsigns
that the said Abel Carrico shall not permit nor Suffer any more than one person besides his own family for a crop of corn
or Tobacco upon the said Land and that he the said Abel Carrico shall not Sell any timber of the said Land without the
Leave or Lycence of the said Peter Carrico or his heirs or make or Cause to be made any wast thereon & that he the said
Abel Carrico shall build or Cause to be built what houses he hath Occasion of during the said term at his own
proper Cost and Charges and further the said Abel Carrico doth hereby Covenant to pay or Cause to be paid to the said
Peter Carrico yearly and every year during the above said term or lease of the said Peter Carrico his heirs or afsigns five
hundred pounds of every way well Conditioned leaf Tobacco and Cask to Contain It is further agreed upon between the
parties above mentioned that if Wast Comitted upon the premises or nonpayment of the rents that it shall and  may
be Lawful for the said Peter Carrico or his heirs or afsigns to Re-enter upon the premises and the Land to have again
& pofsess and Injoy as in his or their former Estate anything herein Contained before to be Contrary not withstanding
In Witnefs whereof the said Peter Carrico as the said Abel Carrico have Interchangably Set their hands and
Seals the day and year first above written~~~~
