the request of George Keyth of
Charles County the following Deed was
recorded this 13 Day of June 1730.~~~
This
Indenture made the twenty fyfth Day
of March
in the
Lord Christ one thousand Seven hundred and thirty Between
Peter
Carricoe
of Charles County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part
and
George
Keyth of the County aforsd Planter of the other part
Witnesseth that the sd Peter
Carricoe for the Consideration
all
Ready reserved and hereafter mentioned
hath
Demised granted and to farm Lett on and by those presents doth
Demise Grant
and to farm and to Lett unto ye said George Keyth and Elizabeth his
wife part
of a
Parcel of Land called Maidston now in the possession of the said
Peter
Caricoe
Situate on a branch of Pileses Fresh Beginning at a Bounded white
oak stand
ing in a fork of the said Branch and Being a Bounded tree of
the aforsd
Tract
of land running thence through the said Land for a Dividing Line
North
fourty
Eight Degrees West one hundred and eighty one perches thence
North sixty
three
Degrees East Eighty two perches thence North East Nineteen
perches with a
tract of
Land now in the possession of John Piggeon called New Bradford
thence
to the beginn
ing but running with a tract of land in possession of
Lawrence
Lent called Canter
bary Containing fifty three acres and it is further
granted
that the said George Keyth
shall have for liberty to cut Down any
Timber or
Timber trees for the Use of the said
Land (VIZ) for Building fencing or
Tobacco
Hog Sheads in for and During the Term
of
Nineteen years to commence from the Forth Day of December Last Past
the Date
hereof and from thence to be fully completed and Ended In consideration
whereof
the Said
George Keyth hath paid to the aforsd Peter Carrico
the sum
of two thousand pounds of
Tobacco for which consideration the said
Peter Carico
for himselfe his heirs Execut
ors and Administrators Doth further
Covenant Promise
and agree to and with the
said George Keyth Elizabeth his Wife their
heirs
Executors and Administrators and
Every of them that upon paying and
performing
the Covenants already Complyed wth
by the said George Keyth
and
Elizabeth his wife which is paid and Do not ??
and p formed Shall and may peaceably and quietly hold Use occupy
possess and Enjoy
the said land without the Lett hindrance or
molestation of
him the said Peter Caricoe
Junior his heirs Executors or Administrators
or any other
person or persons whatso
ever claiming or to claim from by or under him
them or
any of them In witnefs
whereof the parties above named have hereunto
set their
hands and Seals the Day
and year above written.
