It was commanded the shef that he should take Peter Carricoe late of Charles County Planter
otherwise Called Peter Caricoe of Charles County, if he should be found in his Balywik and him should
Safekeep so that he should have his Body before the Justices of His Lord Propry of his next Court to be
held at Charles Town on the second Tuesday in August next to Satisfe unto John Chesley
as well the sum of Twenty pounds Currency a Certain Debt which the same John, Lately in a Court
of the said Lord Propry before his Justices at Charles County afsd prosceuted against him the said Peter ~
as also the sum of four hundred and Eighty three pounds of Tobacco which to the said John
by discretion of the Justices afsd was adjudged for his damages which he had by reason of Detaining
that Debt, whereof the said Peter is Convict, and that he should not thereof fail, and that he should
have then and there that writ [..] And how here at this day to wit the second Tuesday in August
afsd the shef afsd returns to the court here the writ afsd thus endorst Viz: Cepi Satisfied
to Plaintiff

Peter Carricoe Petition for a commission to Examine Evidences to Perpetuate the the Memory of the Bounds of a Certain Tract of Land Called Maidstone is by the Court here rejects he not setting forth or showing that he is seized or in Posession of the Land in the petition ????

Peter Carrico by his petition sets forth that he is in Possession of a tract of Land lying in Charles County called Maidstone humbly prays for a commission to protect and Perpetuate the bounds thereof.

Whereupon it is ordered that Commission .......... (very hard to make out, but it looks like Peter was going to have his wish. I can make out one name, Robert Anderson, in the list of those who were to examine the bounds. I can send a copy to anyone who wants to see if they can help with the transcription)
