Maryland p
               By virtue of a special warrant out of the Lordsp Land Office
bearing date the tenth day of September last granted unto Peter Carrico of
Charles County to resurvey a tract or pcel of land lying in Charles County
afsd orignally on the seventeenth day of  June 1675 granted unto a certain
John Hunt for the Quantity of one hundred acres and resurvey again,
on the ninth of November 1721 for a certain Ann Gates for the Quanty
of  two hund: & fifteen acres, with Liberties to Include its surplusage and add
what vacant land might be found Continguous thereto. These and therefore to
Certifd that I have resurvey'd and laid out for and name of the said
Peter Carricoe the afsd tract of land according to its antient metes & bounds
Including Eighty nine acres of surplusage bounded as follows. Beginning at
a bounded white oak saplin standing at the Edge of an old field at the place
where the Original first bound tree of the said tract stood runing thence north
twenty perches then west and by North thirty four perches to a bounded
Hickory a bound tree of the said tract then north thirty eight degrees west twenty
four perches to a bounded tree of a tract of land called Canterbury and with the said
land north and by west one hundred and ninety two perches then south west
one hundred perc thence south eighty Eight degrees west one hundred twenty
perc to a bounded white Oak a bound tree of sd tract then south east one hund:  & thirty
perc then south thirteen degrees west sixty five perc to a bounded beech  the last
bound tree of sd tract thence with a straight line to the first beginning Contg
One hundred and Eighty nine acres and have added thereto one hundred & twenty
three acres of Vacancy and reduced all into one entire tract called Maidstone
bounded as follows beginning at the afsd bounded  white oak saplin at the place
where the original first bound tree of the said tract stood running thence
north forty perches then north eighty one degs: west forty eighty perc to
bound tree of Canterbury afsd then north and by west one hundred and ninety two
perc then west thirty six perc then south sixty four degs: west one hundd: & sixteen
perc then north fifty three degr west Eighty three perc then north sixty degrs  west
one hundred & forty perc then south & by west Eighty perc then south fifty degs:
east one hundred & thirty eight perc then north and by east fifty six perc then
south east one hundred & ninety two perc then south nine degs: east ninety
six perc to a bounded  beech thence with a staight line to the first beging:
Containing and now resurveyed and Laid out for three hundred and twelve
Acres to be hold of Calvert Manor ~~~~
