Thomas Ignatius Carrico was born in Kentucky, October 1, 1820. He
departed this life July 23, 1903, aged 82 years, 9 months and 22
days. At the age of nineteen he came from Kentucky with his
parents to Mt. Pleasant, Martin county, Ind. He was one of a
family of thirteen children, only one of whom is now living, Mrs.
Sabina Choral, of Indianapolis. Mr. Carrico was twice married,
having survived both his wives. To him were born twelve children,
six of whom are still living. He was a kind, good, and
affectionate father, loving his children and beloved by them. For
many years he was a member of the First Christian Church of
Staunton, Ind., and was a silent force for good on all lines of
Christian work. Rev. H. L. Bailey, of Lebanon, Ind., officiated.
[Per Karen: this Thomas Ignatius Carrico was the "son of Vincent
Carrico and Mary Elder."
