| The Sun December 12, 1857 DIED |
| In Washington city, on the 6th
instant, after a short illness of typhoid fever, WILLIAM B. CARRICO, in the 76th year
of his age, for the last 58 years a resident of Washington, and for 24
years past faithfull watchman in the Navy Yards. He was an honest
man, one of God's greatest works. |
| His body has returned to dust, His limbs mold in the ground, I hope the Lord will him reward With an immortal crown. |
