On January 15, 2001, I emailed okeh@bsnpubs.com, contents of e-mail is as follows:
I am asking for assistance in trying to receive a copy of the recordings my grandfather recorded under the Okeh label in New York on June 17, 1924. The recordings are “Pencil Papa blues” and “Osceola Blues”. My family and I are still researching other music he composed. I have contacted the library of Congress for a copy of the registration and renewal. I have also contacted the CBMR who gave me info into researching Brian Rust’s Jazz Records 1892-1942, which also confirms he wrote the music.
As always anyone having info or need more info contact me by Email: sbameen@screaminet.com or receive an invitation to MyFamily.com web site/ Email: 2D3E32.2@Send2MyFamily.com
