The following information was researched on December 12th and 13th, 2001.
In 1908 Kate C Archer named Booker Street, at that time the area was known as Archer Booker Town, reminder Booker Street is only several blocks away from Sidney Street where the Booker family once resided. Both Streets have same zip codes. The town was a subdivision. The Archer family was fairly prominent in that area. According to the records, Map Book 2 page 18, 2, this gives details on the naming of the street. For further info you would have to go to Greenville and search records on your own.
